What our customers are saying about Proflex™
|

To Whom It May Concern:
We at Tropical Tile & Marble, Inc. have used
the crack isolation membrane known as
Proflex in several of our custom
installations. Those installations range
from interior to exterior such as garages,
commercial offices, condominiums and
interior custom home flooring. We are
especially pleased with the Proflex PR-27
exterior grade primer in which we use now on
all of our installations. This is due to the
ease and quickness in which an installer can
prime the substrate and immediately install
the Proflex membrane. This is not so with
most of the competing sheet membranes. The
adhesion to the substrate is also superior.
We have had situations where the other
membrane primers, installed properly, allow
the membrane to loosen, even with the use of
a 75# steel roller; also, the wait time on a
lot of the other primers slows the
installation process.
We will be using the Proflex 90 Mega Sound
Control shortly on two of our condominium
jobs. This is in lieu of cork, so we don’t
have to worry about the hollow sound cork
can give a floor nor do we need to worry
about moisture from the mud-set.
Another point that helps all installations
is the cost has been .05 to .10 cents a foot
cheaper than the other membranes. When we
are doing 3000, 4000 and 5000 sq. ft. jobs,
this equals a considerable savings and
furthermore, they have an outstanding
warranty! Proflex is a superior product that
we foresee using for quite some time.
Respectfully,
Jamey T French

Dear Al,
Just a short note to thank you for
recommending the Proflex Membrane Products
to me. Since we first talked about an
alternate to cork as an underlayment for
tile in our condominium we have had three
owners who have used it. As you know we are
presently having our entire atrium re-tiled
and happily they are using Proflex 70SSC as
the underlayment.
I urge all owners remodeling here at the
Savoy, as well as their tile contractors, to
quote the Proflex products in lieu of the
1/4" cork. The sound reduction from floor to
floor is greatly reduced and using the
thinner product eliminates the need to cut
down the steel entry doors. Those two
factors alone make it worth the small price
difference. All of the other pluses these
products offer is pure gravy.
Feel free to share this letter with
potential users who still may consider 1/4"
cork a good product under any floor. It sure
doesn't deter sound transfer from floor to
floor.
Sincerely,

Phil Paradis, Director of Operations

Dear Joe,
Pursuant to my conversation with you last
week, we have evaluated the Proflex samples
that were shipped to our Middleton, MA
facility.
Bostik's Best and BST was used to bond
engineered wood flooring to Proflex CISM,
Proflex 70 SSC, Proflex 90MSC and Proflex
100 USC. Adhesion was found to be excellent
to the Proflex products. Based on the test
results, Proflex CISM, Proflex 70 SSC,
Proflex 90MSC and Proflex 100 USC would be
suitable for use with Bostik's Best and BST.
Please refer to the enclosed Bostik's Best
and BST Data Sheet for complete installation
instructions and standard product warranty.
If you have any questions, please feel free
to call me directly at 978-750-7234.
